Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of the Cricut app by going to the App store and searching on Cricut. It’s time to get your SVG file into Cricut Design Space. The SVG file is now saved and ready to upload to Cricut Design Space! Step 4: Upload the SVG File to Cricut Design Space on your iPhone or iPad OLDER VERSIONS: Now just tap Add to save your SVG file! In the screen below, I am choosing iCloud Drive. OLDER VERSIONS: In the next screen, choose where you want the SVG file to be saved. Do NOT tap Save Image - that only save the picture, not the SVG file itself. You may need to scroll to the right to see this option.
OLDER VERSIONS: Next you want to tap Save to Files. Now tap the Upload button (it looks like a box with an up arrow in it) in the lower left corner of the screen. OLDER VERSIONS: Once you do that, you’ll see a graphical representation of the SVG file appear onscreen, as shown below.

OLDER VERSIONS: Now we can see what is INSIDE the ZIP file! Hooray! Look at the list and find the one labelled ‘SVG image’ in gray text beneath the filename. Tap the button with the three lines in the lower right corner. I recommend you read this, but we need to keep going a couple more steps still.
OLDER VERSIONS: Previewing the content will likely show you my “About These Files” text document. So to get the actual SVG out of it, tap Preview Content.

This shows you that the ZIP file has been saved, but that’s not enough yet, as ZIP files cannot be uploaded to Cricut Design Space. OLDER VERSIONS: Once you do that, you’ll get the screen below. OLDER VERSIONS: Next, tap the Add button in the upper right corner. For the purposes of this tutorial, I’m saving to iCloud Drive. You have several choices-iCloud Drive, your iPhone itself, or a third-party service like Dropbox. OLDER VERSIONS: Now you need to save this file in a place that you can access this from Cricut Design Space. If you do, tap Open in “Files” to proceed. OLDER VERSIONS: Note: If you have not updated your iOS to version 14 or higher, you may instead see a screen like this when you try to download an SVG. (And if none of these steps matched what you see on your phone, keep reading.) Once inside the folder, you’ll see all the contents … including the SVG file. Now when you look at your Downloads folder, you’ll see a folder with the same name right next to the zip file.
Now press and HOLD the file until a contextual menu opens, like this, then tap Uncompress. Tap on Downloads and locate the file you just downloaded. (You may need to take the back arrow in the upper left corner to go back to this main screen.) The app will look something like this once you have opened the app. It has a blue file folder icon on a white circle on one of your home screens. To begin, go to your Files app on your phone. The next step is to locate that file and decompress it (unzip it) so you can access the SVG file inside. Step 3: Decompress (Unzip) the SVG Files on your iPhone or iPad Tap the Downloads icon to proceed. The file will go to your Downloads folder. You can see where that icon is located on an iPhone screen in the image below. Once you tap Download, you may notice that the little blue icon with a downward pointing arrow in the upper right corner of your screen bounces a bit. Once you tap on the image of the heart above (or the link above that), you’ll be asked if you want to download the file. Just tap on the image below to get started.
